My 10 second TV appearance finally surfaces on Gordon Ramsay's F Word - Tuesday 8th Dec 09

A few months ago I blogged about me partaking as a food judge on Gordon Ramsay’s F Word which is currently in its 5th series being shown on Channel 4. Well it has finally surfaced and I made an appearance on the 6th episode which was aired on Tuesday 8th December 2009. Between the four of us who all spoke for various lengths about the food we ate, they picked a line were I am commenting on the after taste of the meat. I feel pretty lucky really considering the many lines I did say that were worse. Anyway I will try to put up a naughty clip of it on this blog somehow but for now you can watch it here: Gordon Ramsay’s F Word - Tuesday 8th Dec 09 I appear at 40 minutes in in case you want to fast forward it.

The Daily Show travels to Iran. This video I came across on Vimeo shows their journey into the often misunderstood Islamic Republic the west seems intent on bombing. It is an interesting video. Check it out.

More Rare Grooves....
Some more rare groove tunes I have knocking around that I promised I would post for Rod and a few others. I really need to find a night in London that plays all this stuff. If anyone knows of anywhere decent then contact me on twitter.

Hip Hop Sucks Because of You - Part 2
Some tunes I am listening to right now in light of this recent b-boy activity I have found myself involved in at Matter, London watching Raekwon and Rahzel of recent. I thought it was time to dig out some decent underground hip hop and put it on my 8track.com profile. For those of you that knew me through the 90’s (through college and university this will be a blast from the past). The new stuff doesn’t cut it the same guys it’s a shame. Well there is this new People Under The Stairs tune on here but I have already blogged about that.

Rahzel Live @ Matter, London 09/10/09
Matter club in London played host to a wild night of music on 9th October 2009. Rahzel the king of the beatboxers and also the Jungle Brothers performed live in the main room. Although I didn’t have big hopes for Jungle Brothers anyway, only one turned up which to me made the performance pointless. Plus the lack of apology and the reference to himself as the Jungle Brothers was pretty lame. Rahzel put on an amazing performance and the above shows the skills of his DJ JS-1 of the rock steady crew supporting him.
I have had the pleasure of seeing Rahzel when he was in the Roots and also as a solo artist and he is truly an amazing talent. I saw Wu Tang Clan member Raekwon and UK beat boxing talent 9 Faith SFX a week earlier at Matter club.

New People Under The Stairs Track
The People Under Stairs are back and seem to be coming out with an album on OM records which is usually all about house music not Hip Hop. But OM does play host to Hip Hop and House DJ Mark Farina who plays a lot of this stuff so it makes sense I guess. I like this track a lot.
People Under the Stairs - Trippin’ At The Disco by OmRecords
Although saying the video is which you can cop here is truly awful, watch it and be amazed how a music video can ruin a great tune.
Lawnchair Generals Mix September 2009
I am really getting into these monthly mixes that Lawnchair Generals are putting out every month on soundcloud. They are getting the idea of Twitter like most of the house music guys (it took them all long enough) and now LCG are really making the most of the soundcloud.com space too, giving us all a monthly hour of good music. Check out all the previous months at:

The Kanye Footage of the Taylor Swift incident at the VMA 2009
These rap stars really do get above themselves.
What did you think was going to happen here Kanye? The amount of youtube responses is amazing. People are pretty mad. Obama, his own president has called him a Jack ass. Ouch!!
One thing to note here though is how did MTV get the production of this incident so tight. Notice how they cut to Beyonce like its almost scripted. It all seems kind of staged. Well in these situations the key is who stands to benefit, certainly not Kanye thats for sure. It was a stupid stunt but how did MTV get it so right camera wise it all seems so much like TV……
Gordan Ramsey's F Word - Me as a Tasting Judge
I left an interview in the poring rain yesterday in my effort to regain employment and my good friend Siggi called me up asking me if I wanted to appear as a tasting judge on Gorden Ramsey’s F Word. Since I have been sitting in doors for the last few weeks trying to look busy I thought why not. Kelly Brooke was his guest who was cooking with him. We arrived there today at 11:30 myself and three others were given the task of deciding which of two dishes prepared by Gordan and Kelly tasted better. We were sat around a table with cameras sticking in our faces, it was pretty unnerving.
Gordan made stuffed tomato and Kelly made stuffed pepper both of which were really good, but people voted for the stuffed pepper as it looked a lot more presentable.
We were then asked to give a short speech on why we liked the one we picked. I didn’t screw it up but I realised I am not that great a speaker as I like to think.
I only had my crappy camera phone which proved to be total pants for photos despite the excellent light in the studio. But at least it proves its not a total lie. Look out for me in November sometime on the new series of the F Word (whatever the one is with Kelly Brooke as a guest, I know as much as you to be honest).
