Welcome to my Weblog

My name is Shion Abdillah and I am from the UK and work in the cloud technology sector as an architect.  I was born near Liverpool and lived in London since the age of 13 after attending performing arts school to study music and technology. I lost interest in music making for commercial gains and  I found my place in the newly found world of the web and have spent the last decade and a half working as an internet technologist. I work currently as a freelance cloud technology/SAAS consultant for various companies in the rapidly growing salesforce.com sector.

Beyond my creative and social side I take a lot of interest issues such as the environment, sustainability, peak oil, the global landscape and the newly emerging localisation movement. I still remain passionate about music and try to work on making it when I get spare time.  I am also a keen traveler and enjoy visiting new countries each year and experiencing the people/culture those couttries have to offer.

Why a Blog?

Well I figured we all already do it in terms micro blogging using Facebook to tell the story of our lives. I wanted a more independent platform  for me to share my  thoughts with the world. I discovered wordpress and really liked its possibilities and felt this was for me. Either way it is an interesting human experiment that I will see how long I can keep up. We will see hey! .
